Enchantment -- 1st DraftI beheld a leafy, crooked oak that rose towering above me; its grand, verdant arms rippled in the wind, shading my stinging eyes from the brilliant winter sun. I slowly traced a winding spoke of the grandfather tree away from its trunk – until I found a pair of familiar eyes gazing at me from above. They belonged to a slightly pudgy, freckled face, wearing a wide smile and topped with blonde and curly hair; his eyebrows furrowed with concern.
